A man from Mercer County who admitted to cheating in an Erie fishing tournament by stuffing a fish with lead weights, is now facing wildlife-related charges.
The Sharon Herald reports that 36-year-old Chase Cominsky of Hermitage has been charged with eight wildlife crimes, all involving deer.
He allegedly harvested several antlered deer outside of legal hours or out of season. This happened over an eight-year span according to the game warden.
Cominsky was a part of a duo that admitted to stuffing walleye with weights in order to win thousands of dollars at a Lake Erie fishing tournament in Ohio last year.
