Mars girls soccer take state playoff opener/Karns City girls knocked out

PIAA Girls Soccer First Round:
–Mars shutout Warren 4-0. Addi Girdwood scored two of the Mars goals and had two assists. The Fightin’ Planets improved to 18-1 this season. All of their victories have come via shutouts. They will meet Montour in the Quarterfinals Saturday.
–Bishop Guilfoyle eliminated Karns City 2-0 in Class 1A.
