No one was injured in a crash involving a tractor trailer late last week on I-79.
The accident happened Friday evening around 6:30 p.m. in the northbound lane of I-79 in Jackson Township near mile marker 86.
Police say a classic car driven by 21-year-old Malachi Hindman of Turtle Creek tried to slow down due to traffic but lost control of his vehicle. That’s when he slid into a tractor trailer, and then bounced back across traffic before coming to a stop.
The vehicle was significantly damaged in the crash, but neither Hindman nor the passenger were injured.
Traffic was delayed for a bit while crews cleared the scene.
