Although most Butler Rite Aid stores were spared in the initial round of sales following the pharmacy chain’s bankruptcy claim, there is now at least one set to close.
The Rite Aid in Point Plaza has posted that they will be closing at the end of the month.
That brings the number to 22 stores in Pennsylvania that Rite Aid is opting to close.
According to a statement, there could be more Rite Aids that close as the company negotiates lease-agreement with property owners.
Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy protection last month, citing declining sales and the recent opioid lawsuit settlement.
