The state’s top law enforcement office announced a personal care administrator in neighboring Lawrence County is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter.
Attorney General Michelle Henry announced that in December 2021 a personal care administrator at the Arc of Lawrence County failed to provide a resident’s medications, then that resident had a seizure and died.
48-year-old Kelly Gonzales is accused of not providing the man with is anti-seizure medicine for 10 days. Upon an autopsy the man had anti-seizure medication below therapeutic levels.
Gonzales has been charged with neglect of a care dependent person and tampering with records, and misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter.
