The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign is underway, but officials with the organization say they are in urgent need of more donations.
The Western PA Division of the Salvation Army says their fundraising goal is just over $2.3 million. So far, they have collected nearly $650,000, which is 28 percent of their goal.
The Salvation Army specifically pointed to lower donations in Kittanning, Uniontown, and the Allegheny Valley.
They say in addition to the red kettles outside of store, you can make a donation online at salvationarmyWPA.org.
