Millions in state funding is coming to Pennsylvania in order to help expand statewide rail services.
Federal officials say $143 million will go toward infrastructure upgrades along the Keystone West Corridor between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg.
The goal is to help add a second daily round-trip of the Amtrak Pennsylvanian service.
PennDOT says they will match 20 percent of the total project’s cost.
The Keystone Corridor is a 349-mile railroad that spans Pittsburgh to Philadelphia.
