Raymond G. McCann

Raymond G. McCann, 80, of Butler passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. He was born in Butler on November 1, 1943 to the late John and Lillian (Hohn) McCann. After graduating from Butler High School, he then earned his Bachelors degree from Penn State University in electrical engineering. After honorably serving in the U.S. Navy, Raymond worked at Armco, Pullman and most recently taught High School physics. Raymond was known as an intelligent, hardworking and dedicated teacher; he was also known for his immense love of dogs, having many throughout his life. Brother of Joyce Ace and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother David McCann. All services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
