The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection will now require fracking companies to disclose chemicals being used for drilling.
Previously the materials use to drill were only presented to the DEP by request, but now they must provide them prior to drilling.
The DEP also announced under direction of Governor Josh Shapiro plans to study the unconventional natural gas wells in the nation.
