Butler Township is seeking more information about several projects to make local improvements.
At their meeting Monday night, Commissioners authorized Gateway Engineers to draft a cost estimate for renovations to the Township Park Community Building. Officials will attempt to receive a DCED grant to pay for roof replacement, new windows, improved ADA access, HVAC updates, kitchen improvements, and digital capabilities.
Commissioners also authorized Gateway to draft a cost estimate for dam repair and renovations to the Preston Park Pond. This data collection is expected to take place before April and include determining the amount of silt that has accumulated in the pond. A permit and possible funding from the Army Corps of Engineers would need to be obtained before work could take place.
Finally, Commissioners authorized Gateway to draft specifications for phase three of the Highfield Storm Water project which could be put out to bid later this spring.
