Ongoing construction at Knoch High School has left lime dust on cars in the school parking lot.
Due to lime dust being used to remove moisture from the ground to help the stability of the ground for construction, dust had blown on to about 300 vehicles, according to Superintendent Dr. David Foley.
Foley did say that those who paid to get their cars cleaned can return the receipts to the high school or the district offices for reimbursement. The construction company’s insurance will reimburse people for the detailing needed to be done on the vehicles.
Students and faculty have until February 23 to turn the receipts in to the district.
Foley also said the use of the lime is no longer needed after passing testing with the lime dust.
