After a positive result from a collection for kids last month, a local group is holding an event later this week.
Residents of The Addison at Lowrie Place spent the month of January collecting over 2,000 new and gently used stuffed animals as well as cleaning the animals and adding a special note of love and well wishes.
The residents will welcome local dignitaries, Butler Township Police, Fire, and EMS as well as representatives of Children and Youth Services on Monday at 1:30 p.m. to pass over the donations.
They will also talk about the impact of the stuffed animals for local children in need or those in emergency situations.
