The Butler County Symphony is recognizing a Slippery Rock University student as their collegiate concerto competition winner this year.
Taylor Pastore is a Canonsburg native who is now in the music education program at SRU.
She plays flute with the university’s orchestra and flute ensemble.
The symphony’s Collegiate Concerto Competition is an outreach program the organization has sponsored for multiple years.
As part of her achievement, Pastore will play with the symphony at their next concert on March 2nd.
