A man from Chicora is facing multiple charges after he allegedly drove off the road while under the influence earlier this month.
Butler Township Police were called to investigate an incident at Butler Memorial Hospital just before 11 p.m. February 15th.
Police say 27-year-old Derek Michael lost control in the parking lot and struck the landscape by the helicopter pad. He then continued over the embankment and became stuck in the area between the entrance and the parking lot. Michael attempted to free his vehicle by jumping back onto the entrance but he struck the guiderail and became stuck again.
Michael was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and has been charged with DUI along with other related traffic offenses.
