After a hearing last week on the defamation case against Butler County District Attorney Rich Goldinger, Slippery Rock Mayor Jondavid Longo, and others, the judge has made a ruling on key issues.
Judge Christopher St. John ruled that Jenifer Gilliand-Vanasdale must refile with evidence of defamation and damages such as economical/nonecumenical.
It was also ruled that Slippery Rock Mayor Jondavid Longo is not immune to the compliant, so if Vanasdale refiles Longo can still be included in the case.
Finally, the 2019 compliant in Allegheny County cannot be sealed without the court knowing what is in the lawsuit. If Vanasdale does want to seal it, she must submit it to the court for further review.
Vanasdale has until April 15 to refile.
