It was a soggy morning commute for drivers, and the rain is expected to continue for most of the day.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Butler County. They say multiple rounds of showers and stronger thunderstorms are expected throughout the evening.
That could result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying or flood prone areas. Of particular note, the Connoquenessing Creek has been rising with some flooding reported in Zelienople, Harmony, Evans City, and Meridian.
The flood warning will be in effect until 8:15 p.m. tonight.
