Samuel Pusateri, age 61, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Coraopolis, Pa., on May 26, 1962, he was a son of Samuel A. Pusateri and the late Marion L. Auth Pusateri.
He was a gifted carpenter and a contactor. One of his specialties was bleacher work.
Sam’s guiding principle in life and work was “…Be a leader, not a follower”.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Conrad Roman Catholic Church.
He belonged to the Sons and Daughters of Italy and American Legion Post 778.
Sammy enjoyed scrapping, foosball, and playing cards. He loved having breakfast with friends, but – above all – he loved spending time with his family, whom he adored.
He is survived by one son, Dominick Pusateri and his girlfriend, Marissa Antrilli, of Butler; one daughter, Darian Gold and her boyfriend, Brandon Ferrier, of Slippery Rock; his father, Samuel A. Pusateri and his wife, Carol Gregor, of Butler; two sisters, Nancy Holt and her husband, Terry, of Butler, and Stacy Meyer and her husband, John, of Evans City; one granddaughter, Sophia Pusateri; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia West, and one brother, Paul Pusateri.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Thursday, April 25, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be private.
Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
