Nancy K. Huff, age 79, of Butler, passed away April 22, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She fought hard and had a very strong will to live. Born January 11, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Charles Zaludek and Nellie (Schnitzki) Zaludek. She graduated from Butler Area High School in 1962. She previously had worked as a cafeteria monitor at Lyndora Elementary as well as Northwest Elementary where she provided a lot of extra love and care for everyone. She previously worked as a seamstress at Bobby Brooks. She married Kenneth L. Huff on August 29, 1970. Nancy was an avid bowler. She was a member of the Women Classic League from 1962 – 2018. She loved playing Bingo, going to the casino, buying scratch off tickets as well as playing her daily numbers. She enjoyed baking and cooking wonderful holiday meals. Her biggest passion in life were her two grandchildren. They were everything to her. She loved her family more than anything even if they were constantly telling her outrageous stories and playing pranks on her. She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Kenneth L. Huff; one son Michael C. Huff and his wife Kristi, and two very special grandchildren Joey and Gracie Huff, all of Butler. She is also survived by one sister, Joan (John) Waterbec and one brother, Michael (Judy) Zaludek both of Butler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her daughter, Michelle K. Huff who died in 2022, two brothers Charles “Butch” Zaludek, and David “Zeke” Zaludek as well as one sister, Carole S. Willison. Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 1-3 & 5-7 PM in the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD.
