WPIAL Softball Playoffs from Tuesday:
–Freeport defeated Southmoreland 6-3 in the Class 3A First Round. The Yellow Jackets will face Mohawk in the Quarterfinal Round Thursday.
Boys Lacrosse:
–Central Catholic defeated Butler 14-10 in the Class 3A First Round.
–Peters Township eliminated Seneca Valley 11-6.
The Seneca Valley boys Volleyball team defeated Moon 3-1 in the Class 3A First Round. The Raiders will travel to Norwin Thursday in the Quarterfinals.
District 9 Baseball:
–Karns City-5 Cranberry-1.
