With the hot weather in store for today and the rest of the week, Central Electric Cooperative is issuing their first Peak Alert of the season.
They’re asking customers to conserve power by turning off non-essential electric items and raising your thermostat a few degrees to help conserve energy.
The CEC also urges you to shift the use of items such as dehumidifiers, pool pumps, and electric appliances to hours outside of the peak period.
