Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cameron Sutton was suspended without pay for the first eight games of the 2024 regular season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Sutton will be eligible for reinstatement on October 29th, the day after the Steelers’ Monday night game against the New York Giants.
The Steelers signed Sutton this offseason to a one-year deal for the NFL veteran minimum following his release from the Detroit Lions. The Lions had lured Sutton away from the Steelers as a free agent, giving him a guaranteed three-year contract. He played 20 games, including the post-season last year. He was released by the Lions after he was involved in a domestic violence case in Florida in March and evaded law enforcement for several weeks.
