Butler County will once again use a statewide grant that will help run upcoming elections.
The county approved an application for the Election Integrity Grant, which will send $725,000 to the county for the election department to use.
The money has to be used for specific purposes, including staffing, equipment, ballot printing, canvassing, security and more.
The county has utilized the funds for the last three years, although this year’s grant is down $1,500 from last year.
County officials say they use all of the money each year in the grant.
