Gas prices continue to fall both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.

The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole decreased by eight cents to settle at $3.62. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Altoona at $3.43, while the most expensive is in Bradford at $3.80.
The average national gas price fell by three cents over the past week to reach $3.32. This is 15 cents less than a month ago and 49 cents less than one year ago. Although demand for gas increased over the holiday weekend, the price of a barrel of crude oil continued to sink lower.
