State residents are being advised of increases to income requirements for Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program benefits.
According to the yearly adjustment to figures from the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service, the SNAP Maximum Gross Monthly Income limits increased at the beginning of this month.
The Maximum Thrifty Food Plan conveying the most a family can benefit from the SNAP program has also increased although there is no change to the minimum monthly benefit.
Department of Human Services Secretary Dr. Val Arkoosh says household size, monthly income, and if a member of the household is over 60 or has a disability could all impact SNAP allowances.
