The control of the Pennsylvania State House will be up for grabs this election with local incumbents facing challengers.
State Representative Republican Marci Mustello is seeking her third term representing the 11th District as she’ll be facing Libertarian Justin Konchar.
““Really some of my proudest accomplishments are working to make sure life is easier for employers, small businesses, and the constituents that need to navigate their way through tough times when they’re working with state agencies,” Mustello said.
““I’m just a working class guy. My interest have always been aligned with regular working class people. I really love this community and I want to see it thrive and prosper,” Konchar said.
There is no Democrat on the ballot in the 11th District race.
Another state house race features Republican Stephanie Scialabba, who is seeking her 2nd term in the 12th District. She is facing Democrat Rob Vigue for the second straight election.
““We’re a very red area and there’s a lot of people saying that ‘we don’t have representation.’ In fact, I’ve talked to a lot of people who are independent who say the same thing. We need somebody out there representing these people,” Vigue said.
In the state senate, Republican Senator Elder Vogel is seeking re-election for a senate seat he has held since 2008. His challenger is Democrat Kate Lennen.
“Every child deserves to have a quality education. It really does not matter what town they live in or school district they live in. Everyone should be receiving some level of education that allows them to move forward in their life,” Lennen said.
