Four people in Butler are facing charges following a drug investigation by police.
It started last December when William Shaw was arrested for possession with intent to distribute. During a conversation on the prison phone, Shaw told 40-year-old Clint Nagle of Butler how to acquire crystal methamphetamine.
This past July, police then received a tip that 35-year-old Kaitlyn Dempsey was selling methamphetamines, along with Nagle and 52-year-old Jason Prementine.
In August, police arrested Dempsey on outstanding warrants and searched the home she was staying at and the home of an associate, 41-year-old Ben Mauthe. During the search of both nearly 50 grams of methamphetamines was found along with drug paraphernalia, psychedelic drugs, and THC wax.
Nagle, Dempsey, Prementine, and Mauthe were all charged with conspiracy, Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, criminal use of communication facility, and intent possession of a controlled substance.
