Two first-year managers have been honored with Manager of the Year awards. Milwaukee’s Pat Murphy won National League Manager of the Year after a stellar debut season with the Brewers, while Cleveland’s Stephen Vogt took the AL honors after leading the Guardians to 92 wins and a division title in his first year as a skipper at any level.
The Cy Young Awards will be announced tonight. Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates is a finalist for the National League Award.
