Butler County has a new dog warden.
Cole Redrup was introduced as the dog warden at yesterday’s county commissioner meeting.
Redrup is an Ellwood City resident who previously worked as a zookeeper at Keystone Safari in Grove City.
According to Butler County Treasurer Diane Marburger, the dog warden position had been vacant for at least the last two years.
A part of Redrup’s duties will be making sure dogs have their licenses. An unlicensed dog can result in a fine up to $500.
