Two families with Butler County connections were recognized during President Donald Trump’s speech to the nation last night.
Marc Fogel and Corey Comperatore were honored by Trump last night in his address to Congress.
Both Marc Fogel and his mother Malphine sat as guests of First Lady Melania Trump.

Meanwhile, Comperatore’s wife and daughters received a standing ovation when recognized by the President.

Fogel is a Butler County native who was held in a Russian prison until being freed earlier this year. Comperatore was a firefighter from Sarver who died after being shot at the July 13th rally in Butler.
