A couple of days worth of New Year celebrations for the planet Mars are planned to begin tomorrow in the borough of Mars.
This 6th Mars New Year Celebration is a collaboration between Mars Borough and NASA divisions from across the country, inspired by exploration, innovation and celebration.
Among the 23 exhibits, food, and entertainment are a light show of over 200 drones, local musicians, rocket launches, a STEAM Challenge, and NASA Space Ambassadors. The Martian of the Year Award will also be presented to a member of the Mars community.
The festival coincides with the planet Mars’ New Year, which occurs every 687 days.
