Pennsylvania lawmakers are once again trying to legalize hunting on Sundays.
Current state law limits hunting on Sundays to foxes, crows, and coyotes, with exceptions for certain species seasons.
The new Sunday Hunting Law, H.B. 1431, would repeal the Sunday prohibition on hunting and fur taking.
Supporters of the bill hope it will help expand conservation efforts, enhance economic activity in rural Pennsylvania, and help support the long tradition in the commonwealth.
The bill passed the state house with full support of the house. It will now head to senate committees before a vote on the senate floor.
