Some municipalities in Butler County have received state funding for traffic signal upgrades.
The Green Light-Go Program provides nearly $30 million in state funding to enhance safety and improve traffic flow.
Cranberry Township will receive $94,800 to upgrade detection and controller equipment at several intersections. The township will also receive $83,350 to expand fiber optic traffic signal communications.
Meanwhile, the Seven Fields Borough received $117,520 to replace outdated sensors with radar detection.
The 2025-26 Pennsylvania budget will see an increase of nearly $400 million for roads and bridges.
