Anthony G. Kuminkoski, 62, of Albuquerque, NM, and formerly of Butler, PA, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the New Mexico VA Healthcare System.
He was born on December 24, 1963, in Butler, PA, to the late Benjamin and Carmella (Albini) Kuminkoski.
Anthony graduated from Knoch High School in 1982. Anthony then enlisted in the U.S. Marines, where he proudly served his country for over thirteen years, including a tour during Desert Storm, as well as a tour in Somalia, before being honorably discharged in 1996. He then worked as a Civilian Mechanic for Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, where he worked on various military tanks. In 2000, Anthony decided to reenlist in the military, this time with the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country for another sixteen years, including Operation Iraqi Freedom, before being honorably discharged in 2016, earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He was also a lifetime member of the Roman Catholic Faith. Anthony enjoyed restoring cars and motorcycles, refurbishing various things, exercising, going to the casino, cooking, travelling, as well as spending time with his loving family. He was also a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Anthony is survived by his son, Anthony (Mariel) Kuminkoski, Jr.; his daughter Britny (Kris Kaminski) Kuminkoski; his four grandchildren, David, Noah, Gabriel, and King; his four sisters, Gloria Schwartz, Debra Kuminkoski, Valerie Kuminkoski, and Mary (Eric) Senge; His two brothers, Ben Kuminkoski and Donald Kuminkoski; as well as by his numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his niece, Gabrielle Anthony.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A Mass of Christian Burial from All Saints Parish will be on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at All Saints Parish- Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler, PA 16001, with Father John Baver officiating.
A Military Service with Full Honors will then take place at Calvary Cemetery, followed by the Committal Service.
