A Bruin man is in prison after leaving a threatening package at the State Police Barracks in Butler.
On Sunday troopers investigated a package left at the Butler Barracks that included various letters, a loaded shotgun shell, and a loaded rifle shell.
Police were able to connect the package to 69-year-old James Lachesky.
The package allegedly included threatening letters encouraging troopers to come to Lachesky’s home.
When troopers arrived at the home, Lachesky allegedly pointed an iPad at an officer and pretended it was a gun.
He’s been charged with terrorist threats and simple assault.
His bail was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 9.
