Brian M Bailey, age 67, of Portersville, passed away Sunday morning April 19, 2026, at his residence of natural causes.
Born August 26, 1958, in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County; he was the son of the late Quintard and Barbara Galbreath Bailey.
Brian has served his community for over 10 years as the Mayor of Portersville Borough.
He was well known for his knowledge in IT, Information Technology. He began his career as a home entertainment installer for the Listening Post in the Pittsburgh area. He then moved on to a general manager at the former Holman Trucking, then was a TACH L 2 at the former Four Systems Marconi Communications in Cranberry Twp., and then he worked as a Senior Network Analyst at West Penn/Allegheny Health Systems.
In 2007 he started his own business Bumpworks in Portersville where he continued to excel in IT and computer repairs. He worked with his wife and was friends to many in the local area.
Brian was a private pilot and enjoyed Ultralight Planes. He was a federally licensed drone pilot and enjoyed Radio Control Aircrafts that in 2011 it led him into his job as a Blimp Pilot for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was also known to many as K3EKQ, a HAM radio operator inherited from his father’s hobby. Brian was a life member at Castlewood Rod and Gun Club.
Brian was a collector of vintage BMW motorcycles and enjoyed riding with his wife and family. He was a former PA Western Manager for Total Control Training, a company contracted by PennDOT for the motorcycle safety riding classes.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Lynda Daily Bailey, his siblings Heather (Mark) Wallace of Penn Hills, Bruce (Marcie) Bailey of Hells Hollow, Holly (Dan) Meckler of Harmony, Bruce (Ken Harvey) Myers of Toronto, Canada, and his sister in law Catherine Daily of Cranberry Twp; his nieces and nephews Jordan (Wayne) Ferguson, Jada Wallace, Shelby Jamison, Lindsay (Cody) Hilliard, Chelsey (Jonathan Daugherty) Meckler, Kaitlin (James) Hawley, Erin Meckler, Steven (Susanna) Mauzy, and Elizabeth (Alex) Fox; and 8 great nieces and 5 great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Benjamin Bailey.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
