The Karns City School Board approved their preliminary budget earlier this week and although the budget is going up, taxes are not.
The preliminary budget approved was for $27 million which is an increase of just over $500,000. But the school board did not propose any tax increase.
The budget will now be available for public viewing before a final vote is expected at the next school board meeting.
