Donna was born in Butler, PA, on September 27, 1924, to the late Roy and Euphemia (Hoffman) Yarger.
She graduated from Butler High School in June of 1942. During her lifetime, Donna worked at Miller’s Shoes, the Bantam Car Company, and was the office manager at Cunningham, McCall, and Shanor Plumbing and Heating.
Her greatest job, however, was raising her four daughters; Kay Lane (Robert) of Brighton, MI, Pamela Vacheenas (James) of Fallston, MD, Rebecca Hornung (William) of Hollidaysburg, PA, and Marsha Dippold (Albert) of Ridgway, PA. Donna also had eight grandchildren; Robert, Eric, Amber, Rayce, Taylor, Briana, Albert, and Allison; and 12 great grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Joanne Winters.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Kenneth McCall whom she married on January 5, 1945 and who passed away on November 28, 2018. She was also preceded by 2 brothers, Clarence “Bud” Hockenberry, and James Yarger, and one sister, Jane Geibel.
Donna had been a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler. Donna volunteered for 25 years in the church nursery. She has served as a Girl Scout Leader, Home room mother and church greeter. Donna was a great seamstress, crocheted, and loved poetry and playing cards. In June of 2013, she and Kenneth moved to the Presbyterian Retirement Village in Hollidaysburg, PA. Donna loved her neighbors, her friends, her church, and her family.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler 16001.
A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 AM, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Butler Global Church, 200 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001, with Rev. Dr. Laura A. Saffell officiating.
She will be laid to rest along with her husband at Butler County Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
