The United States Attorney for the Western District was officially sworn in to his role earlier this week.
Troy Rivetti began his nearly 30-year career with the Department of Justice in 1997 and most recently led the office on an interim basis following the resignation of United States Attorney Eric Olshan in early 2025.
He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dickinson College, his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University, and before joining the DOJ worked for a Pittsburgh Law Firm as a litigation associate.
Most notably, Rivetti served as the lead attorney for the DOJ against Robert Bowers, the Tree of Life shooter.
