Slippery Rock University has announced Lisa Horton will be the school’s first-ever head coach of their women’s Flag Football program. Horton has been an assistant of The Rock’s football program the past three seasons, where she worked as an offensive assistant and tight ends coach. The SRU Flag Football team will take the field for the first time in the 2027-28 season.
Horton is a former professional quarterback with the Pittsburgh Passion, where she has gone on to become one of their top coaches. Horton has been the Passion’s co-head coach and offensive coordinator since 2019. She is also the head coach of the Passion flag football team.
