AAA Projecting Record Travel For July 4th

With July 4^th weekend two weeks from now, AAA is projecting that a record 72.2 million Americans will be traveling for the holiday.

The July 4^th travel period begins this Saturday and runs through Sunday, July 5^th.

Most Americans are expected to travel by car; AAA is projecting a big jump in those using buses and trains to get to their destination this year.

The busiest travel day will be Thursday July 2^nd according to AAA.

Gas prices are down over the last month, but still much higher than last year when drivers were paying $3.15 per gallon on average.
