Harrisville Police are responding to complaints regarding careless and illegal use of ATVs, dirt bikes, and side by sides on public roadways.
Police say they’ve received a growing number of calls about ATVs and other off-road vehicles on the road in Marion Township.
They say driving these vehicles on public roads is illegal. So, they are now stepping up enforcement targeting these riders.
Violators will face heavy fines and legal punishment.
Police say that it is a major safety hazard for all motorists on the road, and the late-night noise is a disruption to surrounding neighborhoods.
