A Butler man accused of attempting to hit state trooper and leading police on a chase through Armstrong and Butler County last year has been charged with stealing two vehicles he used in the chase.
The incident happened on October 20, when 47-year-old Ronald Piper attempted to steal from a Fairview Township home and while fleeing the scene, he almost hit a state trooper.
Police say Piper ditched a stolen truck he was driving, and stole another car that was at a home on Old Route 422.
