The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is continuing summer road project maintenance work around Butler County this week.
These activities include patching on Hartmann and Little Creek Roads in Jackson Township as well as New Castle and Eberhart Roads in Butler Township, while seal coat work is planned for Annisville Road in Parker Township as well as Bruin Road in Washington Township.
Mill and fill will take place on Parker Pike in Allegheny Township with crack sealing on Interstate 79 in Cranberry and Jackson Townships. Mowing is planned for Prospect Road in Forward Township and Mars Road in Middlesex Township.
Additionally, in Clay Township, PennDOT officials say crews will be working to repair a bridge on Route 8 near the intersection with Euclid Road beginning Monday. As long as weather permits, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. temporary traffic signals will direct traffic to a single lane. Delays are likely through August 14th.
Finally, PennDOT will close a portion of Monroe Road in Buffalo Township from the intersection with Kepple Road to Route 356 on Tuesday weather permitting. Crews will be replacing a large drainage pipe under that portion of road and the project is expected to be completed by the end of the day. Detours will be posted.
