A dispute between a 33-year-old man and his parents led to a 12-hour standoff Monday at a neighborhood just south of Butler County.
Authorities were called to home on Lace Bark Court in Gibsonia (Pine Township, Allegheny County) for a verbal fight between a mother and her adult son. 33-year-old Phil Scott then held arriving law enforcement at bay with a handgun. As the standoff led on, neighbors were evacuated.
About 1:30 p.m. Monday, Scott safely surrendered.
No one was injured and police say the man was only a threat to himself.
