Butler County continues to maintain the lowest unemployment rate in the seven-county region.
According to the latest numbers from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Butler’s jobless rate for August was 4.4 percent. Allegheny County was the second-lowest at 4.6 percent.
On the other end, Fayette County came in with the highest jobless numbers- 6.8 percent. Followed by Armstrong County at 6 percent.
