State Police plan to conduct DUI checkpoints throughout Butler, Allegheny and Armstrong counties this weekend.
Troopers from the Troop D Kittanning station will conduct both roving and stationary DUI patrols Friday through Sunday.
Drivers are advised to be aware of their surroundings and have their license, registration and insurance cards readily available.
Motorists could be cited for driving while impaired, seat belt use, and failure to obey the Steer Clear Law which requires drivers to move over or slow down for vehicles stopped alongside the road.
