Police have filed charges against two juveniles accused of making three false bomb threats towards the Butler Intermediate High School but officers are still looking for the suspect of a fourth threat.
According to Butler Township Police, a 15-year-old boy was responsible for two separate bomb threats; one on Sept. 8 and another on Sept. 22. The juvenile has been charged with making terroristic threats, institutional vandalism and disorderly conduct.
Through a separate investigation, police discovered a 12-year-old girl was responsible for a bomb threat on Sept. 25. Police say the suspect wrote the threat on a bathroom wall. She has been charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
Police say a fourth bomb threat occurred on Sept. 20. They have not yet charged anyone in that case.
In each instance, students were evacuated from the school and the building was swept by police. Nothing was found.
