Students in clubs at Butler County Community College have joined together to raise money for hurricane relief efforts.
Checks totaling $3,600 were presented earlier this month to the American Red Cross by members of the BC3 nursing club and the BC3 physical therapy assistant club.
The clubs donated money from fundraisers that have been held throughout the past year.
Also, representatives of BC3’s Student Life and others operated a donation canopy at the college’s main campus for three days in September. Contributions received there from faculty, staff and other students will also be used to help those in need through the Red Cross.
