Two local nurses will be honored with an award at a dinner to be held in Pittsburgh next month.
Butler Health System employees Lindsay Kimmel and Lisa Johnson were nominated by coworkers to receive 2017 Cameos of Caring Program Awards at a gala to be held November 5th.
Kimmel is a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health Department where she is a teacher for new hires and a mentor for students enrolled in the BC3 nursing program. Johnson is a Case Management Access Nurse in the Emergency Department where she was named Case Manager of the Year in 2013.
The Cameo of Caring Program and Awards Gala was created in 1999 to honor exceptional bedside nurses. The program also tries to increase public awareness of the nursing profession as well as recruit the next generation of nurses.
