Area residents are invited to Jennings Environmental Education Center this weekend to learn about bird tracking and a possible new hobby.
From 9am to 12:30pm on Saturday, Jennings staff will host a basic birding and needle-felting workshop for residents aged 14 and over. Participants will learn about needle-felting, as well bird identification, bird count procedures, and how to submit data on the Green Backyard Bird Count website.
Space is limited, and registration is required by Thursday, February 15th. A fee of $8 is required on the day of the event, which covers all materials, snacks, a take home project, and bird-friendly coffee.
